Gunsmithing Workmanship Warranty
Scott Torres Gunsmith Arms & Ammo stands behind the quality of our gunsmithing services. We are committed to providing professional workmanship, honest service, and long-term customer support.
Workmanship Warranty
All gunsmithing labor is warranted for 90 days from the date the firearm is returned to the customer against defects in workmanship under normal use.
If a defect in our workmanship is identified during the warranty period, we will inspect the firearm and, if determined to be the result of our workmanship, correct the issue at no charge for labor.
This Warranty Does Not Cover
- Normal wear and tear.
- Cosmetic wear occurring after the firearm leaves our possession.
- Damage caused by misuse, abuse, neglect, corrosion, or improper maintenance.
- Damage resulting from unauthorized modifications or repairs performed after the firearm leaves our shop.
- Damage caused by defective, overloaded, reloaded, remanufactured, or improper ammunition.
- Manufacturer defects in firearms, optics, accessories, or replacement parts.
- Customer-supplied parts that fail or are incompatible.
- Shipping or transfer costs unless otherwise agreed to in writing.
Replacement Parts
Replacement parts are covered only by the manufacturer's warranty, if any.
Scott Torres Gunsmith Arms & Ammo will assist customers in working with the manufacturer whenever possible but does not provide an independent warranty on manufacturer-supplied parts.
Accuracy Work
Because firearm accuracy depends on numerous factors—including ammunition, optics, mounting systems, environmental conditions, and shooter technique—we do not guarantee a specific level of accuracy unless expressly agreed to in writing before performing the work.
Trigger Work
Trigger pull weights and trigger modifications are adjusted according to customer specifications and applicable safety standards.
Once the firearm has been accepted by the customer, any subsequent adjustment by another party voids this workmanship warranty as it relates to the trigger system.
Return Inspection
Customers are encouraged to inspect and function-check their firearm upon pickup. Any concerns should be reported as soon as reasonably possible.

Although our formal workmanship warranty is 90 days, we value long-term relationships with our customers.
If a customer experiences an issue after the warranty period that may be related to our work, we encourage them to contact us. We will inspect the firearm and make every reasonable effort to resolve the issue fairly.
